What do you like so much about the watch industry?
David Beckham : "I’ve always loved watches, the detail and craftsmanship that goes into each piece is what makes this industry unique and the watches feel so special. I am incredibly proud to be a part of this industry."
When and where does this passion for watches comes from? What's your first memory about watches?
"I think from when I was a young kid. I’ve always loved watches. And thankfully two of my sons have the passion as well. Which I’m not sure is a good thing because obviously they want to come on every trip and see all the watches. I took my middle son Romeo out to Tudor recently as a celebration because he has just finished his GCSEs, his exams at school so we kindly set up a trip to take him. So the passion for watches has always been there. It is something I’ve always loved."
What makes Tudor stand out from other watch brands?
"I like to be part of a team and I like to be part of a family and from the moment that I sat down with the guys at Tudor. You know before we even talked about any contract, I felt that I was becoming part of a family and that was important for me."
What was the first watch you ever wore?
"The first watch Tudor ever gave me was the Tudor Black Bay S&G. It was such a special gift because it was engraved with ‘welcome to the family’ – the watch was obviously amazing, but actually the words on the back meant more to me than anything, I still love that watch."
The 3 pieces a man should have in his wardrobe? A Tudor watch, a really beautiful suit and a nice pair of trainers.
