Ketogenic Broccoli Bread

When I started eating low carb food I was struggling with the fact that I could not eat bread made from white flour. This low carbs eating is also known as a ketogenic diet, meaning that when eating low carbs the body produces ketones in the liver to be used as energy and burn fat.

 

~ Atunci cand am inceput sa elimin carbohidratii din alimentatie mi-a fost foarte greu sa rezist tentatiei de a nu manca paine alba si alte produse de patiserie. Ceea ce m-a convins sa renunt la carbohidrati a fost faptul ca adoptand acest stil alimentar cunoscut ca si dieta ketogenica, organismul intra intr-o stare de ketoza prin care arde depozitele de grasime transformandu-le in energie. Acest lucru te ajuta daca vrei sa slabesti, insa este un stil sanatos prin care iti ajuti organismul.

 

This recipe is a healthy alternative to bread, wafer or pizza base.

~ Aceasta reteta este o alternativa sanatoasa care poate inlocui painea, lipia sau aluatul pentru pizza.

 

 You will need / Ai nevoie de:

 

  • One broccoli / un broccoli

  • One cauliflower / o conopida

  • 200 gr. mozarella / 200 gr. mozarella

  • salt, pepper / sare, piper

  • two eggs / doua oua

I call this recipe broccoli bread and it is really easy to make. All the above ingredients are added in a blender and mixed well until everything is smooth.

~ Numesc aceasta reteta: Paine din broccoli si este foarte usor de facut. Toate ingredientele mentionate mai sus se pun in blender si se mixeaza pana se omogenizeaza.

 

This mixture will then be added on a baking sheet in a cooking tray and you have to spread the composition as thin as possible. You then put the tray in the oven and let it bake for aprox. one hour. Even if after one hour, the bread still seems soft it will harden when cold.

~ Aceasta compozitie se intinde intr-un strat cat mai subtire intr-o tava pe o foaie de copt. Punem tava in cuptor pentru aproximati o ora. Chiar daca dupa o ora blatul pare inca moale, in momentul cand se raceste aluatul o sa se intareasca.

 

I have added two pictures, in the first one I added only cauliflower and in the second one I used only broccoli. Of course both cauliflower and broccoli can be used at the same time.

~In prima poza am folosit doar conopida pentru paine, iar in cea de-a doua doar broccoli. Bineinteles ca se pot folosi amandoua pentru paine.
