Can You Live With Less?
Sure you can! You just need to want it.
In order for you to want this, you need to understand some things. You don`t need that many stuff to be happy. Almost everyone owns a bunch of things they don’t really need. Even I have stuff that I know I don`t need anymore.
Richard Holloway once said:
“Simplicity, clarity, singleness: These are the attributes that give our lives power and vividness and joy as they are also the marks of great art.”
Having a minimalist lifestyle means living with things you really need. It means removing anything that distracts us from truly living.
So, where do you start to become a minimalist? I would start with the closet. Donate clothes that obviously you would not wear anymore, since it does not really make sense to keep it there. If you haven't worn it in the last year, you might never wear it again.
Beauty products...and here`s the catch. I`m a beauty blogger and I would be a hypocrite to say to throw them away. Never! But you should learn about the products that you really need and be more grounded when you buy products. Read reviews, compare notes. It`s a shame to buy a product and then realize that this is no good for you.
Shoes and bags?! Hmmm..
I`m not the one that encourages to throw stuff that you paid good money on, but if you decide to start a minimalist life, you should start from now on to control your purchases. In time you will also feel the need to de-clutter your home, but you should not start to radical since this is not that easy to do.
I started from last year to be more aware, and all the purchases made in 2020 were for stuff that I really needed. My foundation run out, or my shampoo. Did I buy the same products? Yes and No. It`s about knowing your needs.
