The aloe vera plant is a succulent plant species from the genus Aloe. It grows abundantly in tropical climates and has been used for centuries as a medicinal plant.
Aloe vera juice is made by crushing or grinding the entire leaf of the aloe vera plant, followed by various steps to purify and filter the liquid. So it is easy to say that this can easily be made at home.
How to start?
1. Cut off a leaf from Aloe Vera plant. You can cut it further into smaller sections and hold in upright position to drain the yellow resin. You can see the yellow sap at the end of the leaf in this picture.
2. Peel the leaf using a sharp knife till you get the whole skin off. Cut the gel into smaller pieces.
3. Put the pieces of the gel in a blender and blend until smooth. Store the gel in an air tight container and refrigerate.
Now your aloe vera gel is done. If you want your aloe vera to lasts a few months, then you can add powdered Vitamin C and Vitamin E to this gel.
