Comprised of three levels, and designed around a ribbon-like spiral staircase, the newest Dior boutique combines both heritage with architectural ingenuity.
The tone is set from the store's exterior, featuring an ode to 30 Avenue Montaigne, Mr. Dior's mansion currently under renovation. In an identical reproduction, using a giant handmade drape, the store's facade echoes Mr. Dior's former home to a tee.
Within the store, opened while the Avenue Montaigne location undergoes renovations, the latest creations by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Kim Jonesfind a home, accentuated by the toile de Jouy backdrop, a nod to Monsieur Dior's very first shop.
As soon as customers walk in, the fall/winter 2019-2020 collection comes to life in conversation with the artistic setting, making for an immersive experience within the Dior universe. Found in their dedicated wings, shoes, women's and men's accessories, jewelry, and perfumes help to complete the ready-to-wear Dior style. In yet another homage to Monsieur Dior, the furniture selection includes works from contemporary artists such as Paolo Castelli, Osanna Visconti di Modrone, Philippe Malouin, Dimore Studio, and Ramy Fischler, alongside older pieces from the Negropontesand Nilufar galleries. All pieces sit upon a Versailles-style parquet floors, dear to the French house.
